Mr. Lavoie has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of risk management and insurance from sales and brokerage, to claims management, legal and compliance. After assiting with the launch of the company, Mr Lavoie is responsible most legal matters at Virtue Risk, including contracts, real estate, HR matters, corporate compliance, claims, policy wording and endorsements and officially joined the company in 2020. Mr. Lavoie is also an expert in environmental law including regulatory compliance, Phase I, Phase II, and Remedial Action reports, due diligence and litigation, insurance coverage, and risk management. In addition, his experience includes handling RCRA & CERCLA matters as well as vapor intrusion, mold, and other indoor air quality issues. He has practiced law at a prominent international law firms including Steptoe & Johnson and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, and has also held senior-level corporate positions at major insurance and financial services companies including General Counsel of Navigators Group, SVP and Environmental Practice Leader at Marsh USA, Inc., and Principal and Chief Compliance Officer at Integro Insurance Brokers. Daniel is licensed to practice law in NY, NJ, and MA, as well as various U.S. District Courts around the country.

Desiree is a graduate of Manhattanville College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Spanish. Desiree most recent work experience was at New York Life Insurance Company where she served as licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent in the Latino Market. In her current role, Desiree will remain a focused member of our renewal underwriting team. She will also manage our processes so that our underwriting teams have the tools and functionalities to efficiently process our transactions from account clearance to invoice delivery. Desiree joined Virtue Risk in 2014.

Tracey brings professional demeanor, a track record of reliability, strong organizational, administrative, and top notch customer service skills. Tracey’s most recent work experience was at Avon where she supported the Clinical Testing Center and prior to that, she was employed by KPMG and CA, Inc. in an Executive Management support role. Tracey is organized, efficient and precise as she provides administrative support to the underwriting team and to our distribution partners, that helps us serve our mutual clients with the speed and accuracy required. She is also our clearance quarterback and will be following up on subjectivities needed for policy issuance and timely delivery of documents. Tracey is also starting to work with our renewal team to process your valuable renewal business. Tracey joined Virtue Risk in 2015.

Janel is an accomplished and energetic licensed insurance professional with a solid history of achievement in the insurance industry. A motivated leader with strong organizational and prioritizing abilities. Areas of expertise include networking, cross-selling and customer minded operational execution. Janel has worked for Allstate, State Farm and other insurance sales, underwriting, office management and customer support roles. Janel joined Virtue Risk in 2019 and was promoted to a Renewal Underwriter at Virtue Risk in March of 2019.

Garrette is a Renewal Underwriter working with our Environmental Liability Casualty Program. Garrette is an AINS designee and has over 9 years of experience in Commercial P&C underwriting. Prior to joining Virtue, Garrette spent 5 years at Liberty Mutual – Equine and Livestock division. Her extensive experience as well vast knowledge of the underwriting process makes her a great fit for our Renewal team. Garrette prides herself on the level of care she provides her clients and is eager to bestow that level of care to Virtue and to our partners. Garrette joined Virtue Risk in 2023.

Ricayah began her time at Virtue as an intern within the Environmental division, where she quickly demonstrated strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of underwriting fundamentals. She then transitioned into an Underwriting Assistant role, continuing to build her skills and contribute to the team’s day-to-day operations. In recognition of her growth and consistent performance, Ricayah was promoted to Renewal Associate Underwriter in December 2025, where she continues to support the Environmental division. Ricayah joined Virtue Risk in 2024.

William is a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where he studied Finance with a concentration of Risk Management and Insurance. William started with Virtue Risk as an intern before being hired into a full time position in May 2021. William’s studies and interning experience have prepared him well for the insurance industry. Will joined Virtue Risk in 2020.

Ledya is a graduate of VCU. She studied Business Management and Administration. Upon graduation, she worked as an Insurance Agent assisting military members and their families with Personal Insurance. She has also worked as a Commercial Account Manager Associate handling multiple Middle Market/Large accounts with coverages including Environmental, Cyber, and Professional Liability. Ledya holds licenses in Personal and Property & Casualty. Ledya is dedicated and driven and is also currently on track to become a CPCU designee. Ledya joined Virtue Risk in 2021

Brandon is working in our Environmental Liability Casualty Program. Brandon is a CPCU designee and a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where he studied Business Administration with a concentration in Risk Management & Insurance. Brandon most recently worked with Markel Insurance in the UA role but is more than well positioned for a new career in underwriting. Brandon joined Virtue Risk in 2023.

Kaheem is a recent graduate of Old Dominion University, where he earned a degree in Business Management with a focus on Risk Management and Insurance. He began his journey with Virtue Risk as an intern and was hired as an Underwriting Assistant in December 2024. Kaheem will support our Environmental Casualty New Business team in managing the account clearance process, streamlining internal processes and managing policy issuance, all to deliver efficient and effective service to our partners. Kaheem joined Virtue Risk in 2024.

Laura is an Underwriting Assistant supporting the Environmental team at Virtue Risk Insurance Services. She brings over five years of experience in administrative, data-driven, and customer-support roles within high-volume insurance operations, including underwriting support, policy servicing, and multi-carrier documentation management. A licensed Property and Casualty insurance professional since 2019, Laura is a consummate professional who focuses on delivering accurate, timely support to brokers and underwriters while continuing to build toward a future career in underwriting. Laura joined Virtue Risk in 2025.

Adriana is an Underwriting Assistant supporting the New Business Environmental team at Virtue. She brings several years of experience in insurance operations and administrative support within fast-paced, regulated environments. In her role, Adriana is a very positive teammate and she is responsible for handling new business submissions, policy documentation, and internal coordination, all while bringing strong attention to detail and a steady, reliable approach to supporting the underwriting team. Adriana joined Virtue Risk in 2025.

Abigail is an Underwriting Assistant supporting the Environmental team at Virtue Risk Insurance Services. She assists with underwriting documentation and administrative support while building her knowledge of environmental insurance and underwriting operations. Gabriela is an underwriter on our Renewal Team within our General Liability Casualty (PLEDGE) Program. She graduated from St. John’s University, where she studied Risk Management and Insurance. She also graduated with her MBA in Enterprise Risk Management from St. John’s. She started with Virtue Risk in March 2023 as an intern before being hired into a full-time position in December 2023. She is well-positioned for a lengthy career in underwriting.

Ana is a Renewal Underwriter working with our General Liability Casualty (PLEDGE) Program. Ana has 10 years of experience in underwriting property and casualty lines of business. Combined with a strong prior background in retail management and in wholesale insurance distribution, Ana brings underwriting expertise and quick response time and will serve our Agents with the responsible service they deserve. Ana joined Virtue Risk in 2023.

Kathleen is a seasoned underwriting professional with nearly 30 years of experience across professional liability, cyber, technology E&O, media, and management liability lines. She has held senior underwriting roles at nationally recognized carriers, managing complex renewal portfolios and long-standing broker relationships. Kathleen brings a disciplined underwriting approach, strong technical judgment, and deep risk expertise. At Virtue, she is a great addition to the PLEDGE renewal team, contributing consistency, experience, and stability. Kathleen joined Virtue Risk in 2025.

Jaden is a recent graduate of Pace University, where he studied Finance and Economics. He started with Virtue Risk as an intern before being hired into a full-time position in June 2023. His studies and internship experience have prepared him well for the insurance industry, where his responsibilities now include underwriting new business as part of the PLEDGE team. Jaden is poised to continue growing and become a much bigger part of Virtue Risk Insurance Services LLC as we grow. Jaden joined Virtue Risk 2023.

Frederick joined us in June of 2024. Frederick is a graduate from St. John’s University – Peter J. Tobin College of Business where he studied Business Management for his Bachelor of Science, and he concentrated in Risk Management and Insurance for his Master of Business Administration from St. John’s University – The Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science. Frederick’s academic background and experiences have prepared him well for the insurance industry and his position with Virtue Risk Insurance Services. Freddy joined Virtue Risk in 2024.

Michael is a newly promoted Underwriter supporting the New Business team within Virtue’s General Liability Casualty Program. He is a graduate of Binghamton University, where he earned a degree in Economics, and brings prior underwriting internship experience from multiple reinsurance firms. In his role, Michael is responsible for completing various pre-binding and mid-term servicing responsibilities. Michael has been a great addition ot the team and has completed his Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation in 2025, strengthening his technical understanding of construction-related general liability exposures. Michael joined Virtue Risk in 2025.

Joel is a New Business Underwriting Assistant supporting the PLEDGE team at Virtue Risk Insurance Services. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from the College of Saint Rose. Prior to joining Virtue, Joel spent five years working in claims at United Health Group, where he developed a strong foundation in insurance operations and claim workflows. In his current role, he supports the new business underwriting process while continuing to expand his underwriting knowledge. Joel joined Virtue Risk in 2024.

Declan is an Underwriting Assistant supporting the PLEDGE team at Virtue Risk Insurance Services. He began his time at Virtue as an underwriting intern and transitioned into a full-time role following his graduation in December 2025. Declan earned his Bachelor of Science in Risk Management and Insurance from St. John’s University’s Peter J. Tobin College of Business. In his role, Declan provides strong support for the underwriting process, specifically with submissions, documentation, and internal coordination while continuing to develop his technical underwriting skills and building a acareer focused on underwriting. Declan joined Virtue Risk in 2025.
